Jack's REAL Head Trip Timeline
Jack Eadon is currently recovering from a major surgical procedure. Continued prayers and well wishes are most appreciated!

What follows is a timeline, but in fact it is a journey that weaves Jack's professional and personal life into one..... Head Trip.

Oct. 2009- Jack starts to work with editor Nick Marco to write HEAD TRIP, an autobiography that revolves around his experience with a brain tumor and his life as a super twin.
March 2010- Jack becomes associated with Moids group of other patients who have epidermoid tumors
April 2010- Jack finds out about Dr. Takanori Fukushima, a world renowned expert at removing epidermoid tumors around the brain stem, not unlike his own.
April 2010- Jack sends his MRI films to Dr. Fukushima.
June 2010- Dr. Fukushima agrees its time to consider surgery on Jack's tumor. It is scheduled for August.
Aug. 15, 2010- Jack, Karen and Pookie fly from California to Raleigh.
Aug. 16, 2010- Jack is admitted to Duke Raleigh Hospital
Aug. 17, 2010- Jack has surgery and the entire tumor is removed!
Aug. 22, 2010- Jack is fitted with a trach tube to facilitate his breathing and reduce the risk of aspirating.
Aug. 31, 2010- Jack enters WakeMed Rehab Hospital to work on balance, swallowing, walking and talking.
Sept 17, 2010- Jack, Karen and Pookie are flying home (in an Air Ambulance) to California.
Sept 17, 2010- Jack is admitted to HealthSouth Tustin Rehab Hospital.

(8/12/10) Jack Eadon to undergo surgery in August
Not unlike the characters in his new book HEAD TRIP, Jack has had a physical challenge that he has been dealing with for years, and it is all too real. Our favorite author will undergo brain surgery on August 17. The purpose of the surgery is to hopefully remove an Epidermoid Tumor--a recurrent, benign cyst around his Brain Stem--that Jack has been dealing with for over thirty years. As a teacher of writing, Jack has often talked about plateaus and breakthroughs. With this medical procedure, his fifth, we forsee Jack reaching a new plateau ... as he breaks on through--reborn and better than ever, thanks to a world class neurosurgeon and new technologies!  A head trip indeed!

Thoughts and prayers are much appreciated for Jack Eadon at this time.
